Volunteering Cumbria Children and Young People Reference Groups

The reference group provides links to and reporting back from various groups around the county, eg Children’s Trust Board locality groups, Third Sector Executive, CSCP for safeguarding and practitioner forums, Children Looked After Health Group, Children and Young People’s Autism Strategy Group, Future in Mind, all local authorities and health agencies etc. etc.

This year the reference group has provided a vital forum for discussion of reaction to Covid restrictions and support for those agencies which have explored ways of carrying on with service delivery and funding for these activities, in support of children, young people and families.

The reference group provides a platform for third sector and statutory sector to launch or debate new programmes or ways of working, particularly collaborative ventures and co-production.
